about us
The Monmouth Film Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and enrichment of independent cinema. Through dynamic community initiatives and professional development programs, MFI fosters cultural appreciation, creative collaboration, and a deeper understanding of the artistic process of filmmaking. Our educational workshops, led by working industry professionals, cover all aspects of film production—from writing and directing to cinematography, editing, and beyond—empowering the next generation of storytellers to bring their visions to life.
We believe all artists can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
The Monmouth Film Institute is dedicated to advancing independent cinema and inspiring the next generation of storytellers through educational workshops, professional development, and community programs that celebrate the art and impact of filmmaking.
