The Monmouth Film Festival Returns for 2026 at Bell Works!

Holmdel, NJ — The Monmouth Film Institute proudly announces the return of the Monmouth Film Festival (MFF), taking place May 29-31,2026 inside the iconic Bell Works Metroburb. Long celebrated for its high-caliber programming and filmmaker-first experience, MFF is preparing its most ambitious edition yet, bringing together exceptional storytelling, industry voices, and a fully immersive festival environment—all under one roof.

Since its inception, the Monmouth Film Festival has distinguished itself as a destination where artistry, innovation, and community intersect. Our programming team curates each season with an exceptional level of attention and intention, selecting films that reflect the strongest independent voices from around the globe. Past editions have attracted executives, creatives, and alumni from ABC/Disney, Viacom, Netflix, Blue Sky Studios, and other leading entertainment institutions.

Film Submissions Now Open for 2026

MFF welcomes film submissions across all genres and lengths, including narrative features, documentaries, shorts, animation, experimental work, and student films. We are also accepting submissions for our Short and Feature length Screenplay competition. Filmmakers are invited to submit their projects for consideration and experience a festival that elevates both emerging and established artists.



With Bell Works’ expansive indoor complex—featuring restaurants, bars, cafés, lounges, and multiple event spaces—filmmakers and attendees enjoy a seamless, world-class festival weekend without ever leaving the venue. The entire campus is fully ADA compliant, offering ramp access, elevators, and convenient drop-off points at each entrance.

  • Hands-on Filmmaking Workshops – Hands-on educational sessions for filmmakers at all skill levels, led by working professionals.

  • Special Industry Panels – Engaging discussions led by producers, studio executives, distributors, and working filmmakers, offering insider insights on trends, career development, festival strategy, and the evolving landscape of independent cinema.

  • Digital Film Expo – An interactive showcase featuring cutting-edge film technology, digital tools, production gear, and industry vendors, giving filmmakers hands-on access to the latest innovations shaping modern storytelling.

About the Monmouth Film Institute

The Monmouth Film Institute Office serves as a year-round home for filmmakers, students, and film lovers throughout the region. In addition to the annual festival, the Institute hosts exclusive film premieres, educational FrameWorks workshops, networking events through its Reel Connections series, special spotlight cinema screenings, and other opportunities designed to support the next generation of storytellers.
