The 2026 Monmouth Film Festival (MFF) will present You Know What You Are, a chilling and atmospheric feature from filmmaker Rose Trimboli, as part of its 2026 program, screening at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ on Saturday, May 30th at 4:45 PM.

A contemporary reimagining of a classic archetype, You Know What You Are offers a fresh and intimate perspective on the vampire story. Set against the backdrop of a tranquil beach town during the early winter, the film follows Faith, a young vampire grappling with her insatiable thirst for blood and the constant struggle to control her violent urges.

Seeking solitude, Faith finds herself forming unexpected relationships with a group of loners, connections that challenge her sense of control and force her to confront who she truly is. As her internal conflict intensifies, the film explores identity, isolation, and the human need for connection through a haunting and emotionally grounded lens.
Shot in New Jersey and rooted in its coastal atmosphere, You Know What You Are highlights the festival’s commitment to showcasing local voices and regional storytelling that push the boundaries of genre filmmaking.
With its striking visual tone and deeply personal approach to horror, You Know What You Are is a stand out, bold, and compelling addition to the 2026 Monmouth Film Festival lineup.
