The 2026 Monmouth Film Festival (MFF) will feature Maddie’s Secret in its 2026 lineup as Magnolia Pictures presents the bold and darkly comedic new film from comedian and filmmaker John Early, screening at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ on March 30th at 6:45PM.

Starring Early alongside Kate Berlant, Eric Rahill, and Conner O'Malley, Maddie’s Secret follows a rising food influencer whose carefully curated online persona masks a far more complicated reality. As her digital fame accelerates, the pressures of maintaining perfection begin to mount, forcing her to confront her private battle with unresolved trauma that threatens to dismantle both her identity and the life she has built.

Blending sharp satire with emotional vulnerability, the film offers a timely exploration of influencer culture, the psychological cost of internet fame, and the fragile line between authenticity and performance in the digital age.

With its fearless tone and unfiltered perspective, Maddie’s Secret reflects the festival’s commitment to showcasing work that speaks directly to the complexities of modern life while pushing the boundaries of storytelling. Don’t miss this striking and intimate film that captures the complexities of navigating online fame, close friendships, and a painful past at the 2026 Monmouth Film Festival.
